M42 #Z05 - Shell: Original WWII Model 1942, size 62 shell. It is painted in standard grey-green with a textured outer. There are a few minor scuffs in the paint. The shell is in excellent condition; no damage or rust. It is factory stamped Ckl62 with a lot number of 629 (I suspect the first digit is missing or too lightly stamped).The manufacturer is Eisenhuttenwerk AG, Thale, Harz (same as ET). An acceptance stamp has been applied at the inner dome. Liner: The liner is an imported M1931 replica in head size 55 with a zinc outer band, pigskin leather and a correct drawstring. Chinstrap: A superb leather liner has been fitted; it is marked Wilhelm Ellers Jnr. Bielefeld 1942. Restored Depiction: The helmet is a SD elite; a Planetree pattern, reversible camo cover has been fitted.
