M42 #20 - Shell: The shell is an original WWII 1942 Model in size 66. This shell was already restored including liner, chin strap and decal. It is nicely painted in grey-green with a textured outer. Visible factory stamps are ET66 with a lot number of 5205. Liner: The liner is a nice replacement M1931 helmet liner, size 66/59 with a galvanized steel outer band. The pigskin leather is ink marked as size 59 (59cm head size) with a correct draw string. This liner is a high-quality import, sourced from the Czech Republic, identical to originals and the best on the market. Chinstrap: The leather chin strap is a nice replacement with steel hardware and is marked C. KORN ALZEY 1943. Restored Depiction: This helmet is a SD elit with a replica ‘Erbsentarn’ pattern HBT helmet cover. But they didn’t have Erbsentarn helmet covers - this one does! It looks great! Also fitted is a replica pair of German dust goggles; these are nicely engineered and display well.
