M35 #26
M35 #26 - Shell: The shell is an original WW2 Model 1935, size 64cm example. The factory stamps appear as ET64 with a lot number of 3112 (made 1937 by Eisenhuttenwerke, Thale). When acquired the shell was painted in a semi-gloss brush overpaint; no rust or damage. The shell was stripped to bare metal, primed then painted in grey-green with a textured outer per 1940 specifications. Liner: The liner is a nice replacement M1931 helmet liner, with a zinc outer band and pig skin leather. The leather is ink marked 57 (57cm head size). The liner is of the highest quality; imported from the Czech Republic; identical to originals and the best on the market. Chinstrap: The leather chin strap is a superb replacement and is marked Wilhelm Ellers Jr. Bielefeld 1942. Restored Depiction: This M35 has been finished to 1940 specifications with a grey-green finish, a textured outer; SD Army. A 'splinter' pattern reversible camo cover has been fitted.
