Italian #14 Bersaglieri

Italian #14 - Shell: Original Italian Model 1933 steel shell; post-war. When acquired it was painted in a matt olive-drab which looked like the original factory paint. The shell was factory stamped at the rear of the shell MM 77 and on the liner frame 57. The shell is in excellent condition, it was stripped to bare metal, primed then painted in dark grey-green. Liner:  The helmet retains its original brown leather liner which is in good condition with a little Service use apparent. The liner is a 57cm head size. Chinstrap: The blue-grey leather chinstrap is a fine replica imported from Italy. Restored Depiction: This helmet is painted grey-green ‘grigio verde’ and is stenciled to the 3^rd Bersaglieri Regiment of the 3^rd Cavalry Division ‘Princepe Amedeo Duca D’Aosta’. It has a purpose made bracket mounted to the right side to accommodate the distinctive Bersaglieri plumes. An attractive helmet.
