Italian #11 Alpini

Italian #11 Alpini - Original Italian Model 1933 steel shell, probably post-war. When acquired it was painted in a scuffed olive-drab which looked like the original factory paint. The shell is stamped SS60 at the inner rear and the liner frame is stamped 59 for the size. The shell is in excellent condition, it was stripped to bare metal, primed then painted in a dark grey-green. The helmet retains its original brown leather liner which is soft and shows Service use. The liner is a 59cm head size. The draw sting has been replaced. The leather chinstrap is in good condition and original to the helmet. This helmet depicts a WW2 helmet with the stenciled markings for the 8^th Alpini Regiment of the 3^rd Alpini Division ‘Julia’.
